Part 3: HairMax LaserBand Reviews – Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • There are no LED’s here and they include medical grade lasers (41 or 82) which are far superior in terms of treating hair loss and restoring hair follicles.
  • It has been reported that there are no side effects to worry about when using this device based on their thorough research
  • It has the comfortable flex design to fit around your scalp for maximum comfort and will fit almost every head size.
  • The amount of time that it takes is a lot less than many other brands we have seen elsewhere where is it only 3 minutes 3 times per week – total 9 minutes only (others can be 20 minutes plus per session)
  • This device can also repair damaged hair as well as reversing the thinning process and stimulating new hairs to start re-growing once again.
  • It has the hair-parting mechanism which is exclusive to the Hairmax brand which parts your hair allowing a better pathway of the laser light to your hair follicles.
  • These laser lights are very focussed when emitted to reach the affected parts of your scalp unlike LED light where the it can get dispersed somewhat
  • They have conducted clinical trials of over 450 men and women which resulted in 90% of them experiencing increased hair growth levels and over 100 additional hairs per square inch in terms of total hair counts which certainly adds a lot more confidence with its capabilities
  • They have also got 14 international Medical Device licenses worldwide and they feature in 6 published Medical Journals and it has gone through 7 clinical trials with 8 FDA clearances
  • It can be used by other members of your family which can reduce the overall cost per person

Cons:

  • The first thing to note is the fact that it is FDA cleared only (not FDA approved) and there is a difference between the 2.
  • Another thing to be aware of is the fact that there is no 6 month money back guarantee available which can be seen available from other brands – check out our iRestore review or my Theradome review if the 6 month money guarantee is a must for you
  • Coverage from the laserband on your scalp is not nearly as good as the coverage offered by laser helmets or laser caps.
  • Results can be very slow to see and you need a lot of patience to start seeing effective growth. On average you only start to see actual results after 3 months and in many cases 6 months and in some cases even 12 months which is far too long.
  • Like so many other laser devices, there is no instant gratification and no definite guarantee that it will work for you. For more secure results, you will need to invest in further hair loss treatments such as tablets, shampoos, foams – take a look at my recommended list here
  • If your hair follicles are completely dead or if you have severe hair loss or balding spots for a long time, then this laserband is not for you
  • Some minor problems or cases have been reported with the effectiveness of the rechargeable battery not holding a long enough charge and wearing out too quickly
  • Despite having lots of positive results published, it still won’t work as needed for every single person out there which can be devastating after spending a high level of your hard earned money

Part 5: Conclusion & Feedback

Conclusion:

Would I recommend this Laser device? To be honest I am only 50/50 on it. I like the fact that they have the medical grade lasers and the published clinical research and trial work done in the background and I also like the fact that the laser sessions are so much shorter which is exactly what is needed for people with a busy work and family lifestyle. The one thing that makes me nervous is the fact that they don’t stand behind a 6 month money guarantee which is available from other reviews conducted here.

Feedback Needed:

Have you used a HairMax LaserBand  41 or 82 model yourself in the recent past or in the last 12 months? Did it work or was it a complete waste of time, energy and money? Or did you try my recommended product list?

If so, please share your experiences and feedback good or bad in the comment section provided below – So that others across the wider community can learn also!!!

  1. I have been suffering from hair loss for quite a bit now. I have tried several treatments such us with hormones, gels, laser, etc but nothing seems to really work. Many thanks for this thorough HairMax LaserBand review as many others I have read seem to be full of rubbish.  I really need a solution and I am kind of fed up :/

  2. Hey! So the review seemed to be great like reading through the content it looked like you covered everything to compare them. You listed out the pros and cons which is good for people to see and also you gave your personal opinion on the products. I hope more and more people read this as it will certainly gave them a better insight into this laserband. Good work and thanks for pointing out the cons and a good summary conclusion, it certainly helped me out today as it is about the 4th review I have read about it and this one certainly was one of the better ones

  3. Technology never ceases to amaze me. I wonder if it is just a matter of time before the FDA approves the entire HairMax LaserBands. Is it effective for someone with alopecia I wonder. It appears that this form of treatment has a lot of momentum. It is a real benefit that it can be used by different family members which can help reduce cost but I reckon you need to be using it with various other hair restoration products in conjunction with this to get the full benefit from it.

    • Yes, you are right – it is best to use this product with a selection of other hair restoration products which are outlined in the menus above – feel free to take a look at the recommended product list. Best of luck and thanks for taking the time to visit. Regards, Jack
